The Walking Dead Episode 2: Starved for Help is finally purchasable on the European Playstation store.
The game, which requires Episode 1 to play, costs £3.99/€4.99 and has an 18 rating slapped on it. While its availability is definitely a good thing, we still haven't received any explanation for why there was a delay with the European launch.
The game became available in the States last week, but many PS3 owners were left bitterly disappointed when the title didn't launch over here at the same time.
It was then assumed that the game would become available during this week's update but when this failed to materialise, fans took to the PS Blog to complain. Sony's Jawad Ashraf placated everyone by explaining, "Telltale will announce anything once ready. We’re working with them on it but they’d be the ones to comment further. Sorry. I want it just as much you guys so I feel your pain."
Ashraf again posted today to state that the episode was available, but no reason for the delay has been revealed. The delay has particularly upset those who bought a Season Pass for the game, which guarantees them all five episodes at a discounted price.
The Walking Dead is an episodic adventure game based on Robert Kirkman's comic series. When we reviewed Episode 2, we thought it was a great title that offered a very different experience from Episode 1, yet moved the story forward through a string of new threats.
