The Exorcist Being Developed for TV




According to Vulture, the classic horror film The Exorcist, which sits prettily in the number one spot on IGN's 25 Best Horror Movies list, is currently being developed as a TV series.

Sean Durkin, writer/director of Martha Marcy May Marlene, is busily trying to adapt the film into a 10-episode series that also includes the events leading up to the demonic possession of young Regan MacNeil, along with the after-effects of how the family deals with the trauma of the exorcism itself. The series is being backed by backed by Morgan Creek and Roy Lee (EP of The Ring).

It's being said that The Exorcist series is already a much-buzzed about project, and will be formally shopped around to networks in about two weeks.
