Casting news has been plentiful this week for Iron Man 3 now that filming has commenced in North Carolina. We learned yesterday that Jon Favreau will be back as Happy Hogan and that Ashley Hamilton was cast as the cyborg Firepower. Today, rumor has it that a veteran of the Die Hard films has also joined the cast.
Latino-Review says Die Hard 2 baddie William Sadler (aka the Grim Reaper in Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey) was spotted on the film's Wilmington back lot, presumably for a costume fitting. No word on who Sadler is playing, but given his history of badasses it wouldn't surprise us to learn he's either another adversary for Tony Stark or a member of the U.S. military brass.
Sadler's other credits include The Shawshank Redemption, The Mist, The Pacific, Eagle Eye and Roswell.
